Introduction

Mykola Kharchuk ("Developer", "we", "us") operates Divergentum. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address: collected at registration via Supabase authentication.
• Game data: your campaign history, prompts sent to the AI, and in-game choices, stored to provide game continuity.
• Usage analytics: pages visited, features used, session duration - collected by Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics.
• Device information (mobile app): device brand and model, operating system version, screen resolution, device language, app version, and approximate location (country, region, city) derived from your IP address - used for usage analytics (Google Analytics) and technical support. We do not store your IP address.
• Payment data: billing information is processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and provide the Service.
• To generate AI responses via third-party AI providers (see Section 4).
• To process payments via Stripe.
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the Service.
• To communicate important updates, security notices, or changes to these policies.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following technologies:

• Google Analytics: uses cookies to collect anonymous usage statistics. You can opt out at any time via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
• Vercel Analytics: collects aggregate, anonymized performance metrics without using cookies or tracking individual users.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this may affect some Service functionality.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your data only with the service providers necessary to operate the Service:

• Supabase (supabase.com) - authentication and database hosting
• Google / DeepMind (policies.google.com/privacy) - AI text generation (Gemini)
• xAI (x.ai/legal/privacy-policy) - AI text and image generation (Grok)
• Stripe (stripe.com/privacy) - payment processing
• Google Analytics (policies.google.com/privacy) - usage analytics
• Vercel (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) - hosting and performance analytics

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated personal data yourself, at any time, from your Profile page — deletion is immediate and permanent, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., tax records related to payment transactions). Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — manage those separately through the respective store.

6. Minors

The Service is intended for users who are 12 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 12. If you believe a child under 12 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights (GDPR - EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Request erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”) — self-service, immediate, via your Profile page.
• Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data.
• Request portability of your personal data in a machine-readable format.

Erasure can be exercised directly and immediately in the app (Profile → Delete Account). To exercise any other right, contact us at mykola.kharchuk81@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (CCPA - California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell.
• Request deletion of your personal information — self-service, immediate, via your Profile page.
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information. (We do not sell personal data.)
• Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Deletion can be exercised directly and immediately in the app (Profile → Delete Account). To submit any other request, contact us at mykola.kharchuk81@gmail.com.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
